ABOUT US
Amnesty International is one of the world's leading human rights activist organization with 7 million members and counting. We fight against human rights violations, from the very prominent Black Lives Matter movement to the use of unlawful and unethical torture devices on protesters in Egypt. As a student chapter in Monroe Township, NJ, we strive to face the injustices in our community head on and make changes to our society that would positively impact the lives of our fellow residents in New Jersey. We will focus on discussing and getting exposed to the different human rights violations occurring in our state and worldwide. As a team, we will find ways to either donate money to these causes or make a direct statement on which side of the cause we stand on by hosting events, like rallies.
